5 Spring essentials every woman needs…I’ve said it before, but I’m shockingly a minimalist with most things – wardrobe included. Too much stuff makes me anxious, and I’m usually happier with a less-is-more approach. There are certain pieces I reach for over and over again, and these 5 essentials are critical for my Spring (and Summer) wardrobe.
These essential pieces make getting dressed a snap. It’s easy to get caught up in the fun statement pieces, but if you’re missing the basic elements, you’ll find yourself “stuck” when trying to put an outfit together.

(1) A Denim Jacket
The Anine Bing Rory Denim Jacket (TTS – wearing XS)
A denim jacket is a must-have for Spring, and this Anine Bing Rory Jacket was a Spring investment piece of mine. I adore that it’s oversized, so it’s easy to layer sweaters underneath on chillier days.
I must admit it was a little boxy when I first bought it, and I honestly hesitated on it. But it truly gets softer and drapier with each wear – like the perfect vintage jacket. I’m so happy I kept it and find myself reaching for it constantly.

If you prefer a more fitted denim jacket (and trust me, we can easily make the case for having both), the L’Agence Janelle denim jacket is hands-down our favorite. It’s incredibly soft and stretchy, feeling more like a cardigan than an actual denim jacket. And the details are super elevated. It comes in a few different washes including white.

(2) A Cotton Sweater
Le Ligne Marin Cotton Sweater (wearing Small)
I adore cashmere in the Fall and Winter, but for Spring I often find a cotton sweater to be the perfect weight. This sweater by Le Ligne is my all-time favorite and I’ll have it forever. I really like the cropped length and extra long sleeves, and you can never go wrong with stripes. It comes in a few different colorways as well, including a gorgeous camel which is super tempting.

(3) White Denim
White jeans are a year round staple but feel especially fresh in Spring. I must have tried 10 pairs before I settled on these. White jeans can be tough and not the most flattering, but these are truly fabulous.
They have the perfect amount of stretch but hold in the tummy – especially important with white denim. And this cut, MOTHER Hustler, is one of my favorites. Effortless to style and looks great with every type of shoe. If you prefer ivory over white, this is a great option.

(4) A Fresh Bag

It elevates the simplest outfits and makes dresses feel effortless. The size is also perfect, fitting all of the basics with room to spare, without being too big. We also adore the Clare V. (5) Neutral Sandals
The sandal we wear most all Spring and Summer – a neutral tan. They look great with shorts, jeans, and dresses. I’ve recently become obsessed with the brand K. Jacques.
Created in 1993 by Mr. and Mrs. Keklikan Jacques, K. Jacques is authentic St. Tropez fashion. Still a family business today, the brand has three stores in St. Tropez and a boutique in the very chic Marais quarter of Paris. This brand was a hit early on with celebrities, and it continues that tradition today. Who wouldn’t want to wear a little taste of the Riviera?
The only downside of these sandals? They aren’t carried many places outside of France, with the exception of Shopbop, which is where I bought mine. And they are admittedly a bit pricey for sandals. That being said, the quality is amazing, and I can confidently say I’ll be wearing them for years. They are comfortable out of the box, but the more you wear them they mold to your feet, literally feeling like they were custom made for you. I also have this pair in black.

In my opinion, 5 Spring essentials every woman needs are a (1) a denim jacket (2) a cotton sweater (3) white denim (4) a fresh bag and (5) neutral sandals. These are all pieces you’ll wear over and over again and can be styled a million ways. Invest in solid basics and always feel chic.
