A Fall Blouse Round-Up

My Fall/Winter wardrobe is made up of 90% solid neutrals (ok and stripes and graphic tees). BUT I do adore a printed Fall blouse. I hadn’t bought a new Fall blouse in a couple years and was ready for an update.

When Tammy and I shopped together in San Diego that was my #1 goal. When I found this gorgeous blouse by ba&sh I didn’t think twice – it’s absolutely perfect.

The ba&sh Gaelle Fall Blouse

This blouse is made from a luscious chiffon that is soft to the touch and drapes beautifully. The fabric is semi-sheer but because of the pattern and color is not see through. I actually have on a black bralette here and it doesn’t show.

I sized up one in this blouse (wearing a size small) because I prefer my blouses to have a slightly oversized fit.

It doesn’t button all the way down – just half way. It’s the perfect blouse for wearing with a  bunch of layered necklaces as I did here. And check out those delicate ruffles around the neck – it adds a sweet feminity.

The colors are perfect for Fall and pair perfectly with denim. I love the subtle pop of yellow throughout the blouse. It will be amazing for Thanksgiving but also great around Christmas.

And here it is stunning peeking out of a camel coat. See my article here on all the ways I’ve been wearing this camel coat.

Ok, so this obviously isn’t a print, but this Frame blouse is amazing. I adore the color and especially love it under a camel coat for a monochromatic look. It also pairs beautifully with black and darker denim.

I will admit that I was slightly annoyed that it is not silk – why are all of these high-end labels using synthetic materials these days? I’m seriously about to research this as we are noticing it more and more. One thing I do enjoy is that synthetic fabrics don’t wrinkle as easily.

I will say that the quality, color and details make it worthwhile. While it isn’t silk – it feels and looks like silk. And those sleeves? They speak for themselves. There is also a side zip for easy on and off.

Other Pretty Fall Blouses

Veronica Beard

Veronica Beard is expensive but jaw-droppingly beautiful. These are my two current favorites. The Quarry blouse is only left in a few sizes but it’s so perfect I had to include it. I’ve been eyeing it all season.

Isabel Marant

Isabel Marant is killing it in the blouse category. Here are a few of my favorites. The metallic gunmetal is dressy but would be so good for all of the upcoming holiday events.

Smythe

Tammy loves the brand Smythe. See her post yesterday on this striped top – here. I’ve never tried this brand, but gosh these tops are gorgeous. Definitely on my list to try.

Jcrew

Two really pretty and budget-friendly options.

Silky Tops

You can’t go wrong with a silky top. A closet staple that never fails. Add acccessories and dress them up and down.

Printed Fall blouses are hard to get right, and the good ones are often expensive. Our advice is to invest in one that you really really love and wear it for years as these are not fast fashion pieces that will quickly go out of style.
