Optimism, Joy…and Bright Pink Outfits?! I say YES! After a year of lounging around the house, getting dressed and going out feels more than just exciting – it feels like a victory!
Every time my husband and I go to dinner or out for a cocktail – anything – you can almost feel a buzz in the air. A sense of relief…excitement…pure joy! We made it guys!! I know the pandemic isn’t fully over – BUT I think we can all agree that we have turned a major corner. And I think it’s worthy of huge celebration.
We survived one of the hardest years of our lives….filled with anxiety, sadness and uncertainty. We lost so much – our kids lost so much. But we are emerging from the other side – stronger and with a greater realization of all there is to be thankful for…
So how does this all translate to clothes?! COLOR!

I am a neutrals’ junkie – most of my wardrobe (90% I’d say) is made up of neutrals. But I find myself craving color this Spring/Summer – specifically hot pink! And it seems I’m not the only one…the bright, vivid (optimistic) colors are definitely trending…

Tammy has been loving bright pink outfits as well…I love how she paired this bright tank by Sundry with distressed white jeans – so fresh!

Coincidentally, I bought a bright pink tee by Sundry – Tammy and I really are on the same wavelength most of time – it’s actually a little insane.
The color of this tee is surprisingly easy to wear, and I love its versatility. Here, I styled it casually for day. It looks amazing with regular denim but I love the bold contrast against washed black. And the checkered Vans – an easy win!

A quick note about these shorts – they are the Agolde Parker shorts that everyone loves. The vintage wash are my ride and die for Summer – here. And although these washed black ones are *technically* the same shorts, they do run a smidge larger and shorter. However, I did stick with a size up for a little slouch.
And also – these Celine sunglasses are amazing. I have a petite face and struggle finding oversized sunglasses that don’t overwhelm me. These fit my face really well and comfortably – and also they do not rest on my cheekbones (if you have this problem, you get it!).

For night, I paired this tee with a pair of distressed jeans, my favorite Frame heels and a playful feather bag. It doesn’t get easier than this for a date night look, but the pop of pink makes it a little unexpected and fun!
Also, for Summer, my favorite way to make a casual outfit more date night ready is an interesting bag. It’s really a no-fail formula: tank/tee/cami + jeans + interesting bag = date night look. Done! And the quirkier and more unexpected the better – in my opinion, this is the perfect place to take a risk style-wise and add a little edge.

My Loeffler Randall feather bag is currently sold out, but I found a few others options that are really good and would work equally well. I went a little crazy here…so many fun ones! I was having trouble deciding.
A pink cami or tee is an effortless way to add a pop of pink to your Summer wardrobe, but there are so many amazing pieces out right now. Tammy and I both scoured the internet, and I’m including only our very favorites. We are especially swooning over the dress!
