An easy holiday outfit formula during a chaotic time of year? Yes please!
We do love getting dressed up during the holiday season but we also don’t want to buy a ton of new pieces that can only be worn once a year. So we’ve found a formula that probably works with pieces already in your wardrobe. Or if you do make some new purchases, they will carry you through several seasons.

#1 – All Black Outfit
This is why this formula is so easy. The bag and shoes make anything look fabulous. So you can literally wear anything and be smashing, but let’s face it, we all own too many fabulous black pieces in our wardrobes and you can even just wear a simple black sweater and pants — DONE!

Tammy is wearing her well-loved Theory Treeca pants which are a perfect classic pant, but anything will do, even black jeans!
#2 – Shoes With A Hint of Glam
I’ve had these Sam Edelman Hazel in Jute Glam shoes for years and they are a little sparkly, a lot sophisticated, and they are also classic and work well even if you just want to spice up jeans. I’ve worn these with pants, jeans, dresses, and to Gala events. They are what I call a unicorn of fabulous shoes AND they are affordable.
I’m including a few favorite glam shoes. We both have the Vince Camuto Enella in suede and they are SO comfortable. We both love them in the gold colorway and I think gold is incredibly versatile.
#3 – A Fabulous Bag
We do love our bags! We think your bag is one of the most important pieces of a pulled together and fabulous outfit. It’s also where we like to add a bit of edginess since most of our wardrobes are pretty classic.
So we say have fun with your bag during the holidays and if you don’t already have something fabulous, buy what you will love and keep forever.

Bonus! A Faux Fur Jacket
Depending on where you live, you might need a fabulous topper to keep you warm. We say faux fur if you want to be a little extra. Rachel has and loves two faux fur jackets. Tammy has pondered them for years, but doesn’t have a strong need for them in California, though the Theory ones are particularly lightweight and would work for chilly evenings even in California! Decisions, decisions!
Okay so that’s our easy holiday outfit formula! And this works year-round honestly – date nights, special events, whenever you want to exude that sophisticated glam look – this is a go-to!
