In Denver, jackets in the spring are a must – and even necessary on the occasional summer evening. I typically lean very heavily on my leather and denim jackets. And while I will always and forever love them, I was feeling a little bored. In addition, with the dawn of the baggy jean (feel free to roll your eyes, I get it), I really wanted something a little more fitted – but also not quite in the blazer category.
Enter – the Paige Pacey Collared Jacket in a gorgeous vintage green. It is the most versatile spring jacket – it’s also crazy soft, a little stretchy, perfectly fitted, and has amazing details (look at the shoulders and cuffs – I die!). (Also, I have to give Tammy credit here – she was the finder of this beauty.)
This jacket has quickly sky rocketed to the top of my spring jacket collection. It will be around all summer…AND on heavy rotation again in the fall. It is the definition of a workhouse. It is incredibly easy to style, but I’ll show you a few ways that I’ve been wearing it recently – as well as a close-up of those gorgeous details that I was mentioning.
With jeans and my favorite high tops
Jacket (TTS) | Camisole (similar) | Jeans (TTS) | Sneakers
This jacket is the perfect cropped length – it’s just right for showing off the waist on a great pair of high rise jeans. And I am swooning at it paired with the green Zadig & Voltaire Christy camisole – the mixture of green tones is so fresh for spring. (This cami keeps going in and out of stock…I’ll keep an eye out and let you guys know when I see a restock.) Also, these Zadig and Voltaire flash high tops literally make everything look so cool.
With baggy jeans and retro sneaks
Jacket (TTS) | T-shirt | Jeans (TTS) | Sneakers | Bag
I love that this jacket adds a little polish to a throw-on and go outfit…here it is totally pulling together a basic white t-shirt, jeans and sneakers.
With shorts
Jacket (TTS) | T-shirt | Shorts (wearing 1 size up) | Shoes | Bag (similar)
This outfit will be on heavy rotation this spring. And, the RE/DONE t-shirt is one of my favorite things right now (“Just bring wine”…yep, that just about sums it up for me! 3 teenagers…enough said. Ha!) The pop of color against the gorgeous green is everything.
With white pants
Jacket (TTS) | T-shirt | Pants (similar) | Shoes | Bag (similar)
Same t-shirt as above, but I swapped the shorts for white pants. Love this for a casual spring outfit with a little more polish…a terrific transition look.
With jeans and sandals
Jacket (TTS)| Camisole | Jeans (wearing 1 size up) | Shoes | Bag (similar)
I wore this combination for a day date with my husband – effortlessly cool and a smidge sexy. I am a huge fan of neutrals…and this soft neutral combination is hitting all of the marks for spring.
As a topper for a night out
Jacket (TTS) | Dress (similar) | Shoes | Bag (similar)
This jacket can also easily be dressed up for a night out. Here, I paired it with a simple black ribbed Reformation dress, but it would look great over almost anything…I’m especially picturing it over an amazing print.
And let’s not forget the details…I adore the shoulder detail and cuffs
The shoulder detailing gives this jacket a slightly more feminine vibe than a lot of other utility jackets, which makes it feel special. Also, the arm length is generous (so tall girls, this would be a great option for you). I love the cuffs worn loose and open, but the soft, stretchy material is also perfect for rolling up.
I can’t imagine ever not loving this jacket. It really is the most versatile spring jacket – a closet staple that manages to feel special and anything but boring. I will link alternative options as well…some with bit more ‘army jacket’ vibes.
Cheers!
Rachel
