9 Ways to Style A Graphic Tee (& Anine Bing is My Favorite)

If you’ve followed our blog for any period of time, I’m sure you know that I’m a huge fan of graphic tees. And the Anine Bing tees are my very favorite – they have an edgy rocker vibe but are also elevated. And the quality is top notch. I threw together a reel over on Instagram showing 9 ways to style a graphic tee.

But I thought I’d also put together a quick article with a selfie for each look. These looks are my go-tos. The things that I wear on repeat. And the options are truly endless.

You can easily dress these tees up or down – and the graphic makes an all-neutral outfit more edgy and interesting.

With Sneaks

Well, this is a no-brainer. Graphic tees and sneaks go together like PB&J. Ha! Ok, maybe a smidge too cheesy. But you get the idea. This is an obvious pairing. And these Zadig & Voltaire hightop sneakers are one of my favorite shoes – I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about them more. Expect to see them a lot when the weather cools down.

With Utility Pants & Loafers

I adore this look – a little edgy, a little preppy – definitely badass. My loafers are the Rag and Bone Slaytons and they are currently sold out in black. But Tammy snagged an amazing pair in the Anniversary sale (linked below). See our entire article on styling loafers – here.

With White Denim

White jeans can be tricky – they often feel too precious to me. The white Agolde 90s jean is the first pair that I have worn and loved in years. They have mostly been sold out all Summer, but there are some sizes stocked at Intermix (linked below). I will wear these in the Fall & Winter with a sweater as well. Snag them before they sell out! They are a favorite. But definitely size down 1.

With a Blazer

How do you make a blazer feel less stuffy and business-like? Add a graphic tee, of course. And ripped jeans, even better. Of these 9 looks, this may be my personal fave. This blazer is an investment but one that you will have for a very long time. Every woman needs a classic black blazer in their wardrobe.

With Trousers

This is similar to the above look…dress down a pair of black trousers with a graphic tee. I love the juxtaposition of these two pieces, and in my opinion, this pairing has a subtle sexiness.

With a Slipdress

A great way to dress down a slipdress – throw a tee on top. These two were made for one another. And a quick note on this slipdress – this has been one of my most worn pieces this Summer. It’s incredibly versatile and forgiving on the tummy. I’m even wearing it to a concert tonight with sneakers.

Monochrome

Black like my heart – I kid. But black is my favorite color to wear and I love how these washed blacks come together for a monochromic look with a casual vibe. Also, this silver bag is a favorite and I plan on wearing it on repeat all Fall & Winter. Look for a post soon on it.

With a Topper

I love the mix of neutrals here. And these boots – my favorite purchase in the Nordstrom sale and shockingly still fully stocked. They are the perfect everyday bootie and so incredibly chic. The coat is Rag and Bone and sold out (bummer) but I linked another one that is still fully stocked in the Nordstrom sale that Tammy & I both love.

And a quick comment on this bag – it is the exact same Clare V bag as the silver one in this article. There is something about that black and white stripe that totally pulls neutral outfits together. I’ve had it for a few years now and it is still one of my most reached-for bags.

With Another Topper

Here, I wanted to show the washed black tee mixed with camels and browns. It is unexpected and works. And yes, I did snag the Reiss coat in the Anniversary sale thanks to Tammy’s super sleuth shopping skills.

I adore the silver bag with this combination too – this whole look gives me all of the heart eyes. This will be a go-to Fall combination for me.

And there you have it – 9 ways to style a graphic tee. Graphic tees are complete workhorses in my wardrobe and totally make an outfit. I especially love how they can dress down a piece (think slipdresses and blazers), and how they add a little edge to an otherwise simple outfit.
