Years ago I had a friend who was always buying pretty makeup. I couldn’t understand. I was not a makeup girl at all. But something happened and now I just find makeup fun. Never too much, but just enough!

Westman Atelier

Okay, call me a fangirl, but Gucci Westman makes really fabulous makeup. Not all of it works for me (I’ve got oily skin, so keep that in mind), but the following are products I’ll never (EVER) be without.

I previously used the Ilia mascara (which is clean and really fabulous) but I recently got the Westman Atelier Eye Want You Lengthening Mascara, and now I’ll never buy another.

Yes, it’s a little pricey for mascara, but oh gosh, it’s like clean Mascara for Dummies (me) and it’s that good. I’ll never suffer racoon eyes again, thank you!

The Westman Atelier Bonne Brow Defining Pencil is a game changer. My eyebrows have become much more sparse (thank you 80s/90s plucking) but also, oh horrors, they are turning white (why, God, why?)

Not only is this pencil impossible to screw up, it also lasts forever. I use colorway Clay.

And I’m reminded of a Mother’s Day when I had a photo with my kids and my daughter asked where my eyebrows went. Hey, if we can’t laugh at ourselves, it’s over!

The three other products I use every time I apply makeup. Truly, they are game changers!

Charlotte Tilbury

These are the only products I use on my lips. I’m a ‘no lip color’ girl, so I choose the clearest versions, but there are tons of options.

As someone with oily skin, this is the only finishing powder that keeps the shine under control. You can now purchase refills rather than the entire container!

And the easiest cream eyeshadow / sophisticated eyeliner duo – I’m completely obsessed.

I live to smell good. Yes, seriously. I take it that seriously!

Le Labo

When I turned 50, I started smelling like a 14 year old boy. WTH? I’m not kidding. And as someone who is serious about only using natural deodorant, absolutely nothing was working.

Until I tried the Le Labo deodorant. Damn I love that stuff. And while I hate paying this price for deodorant, I’ll gladly do it until my hormones settle down, jeez.

The other day I went to get my Another 13 Perfume refilled (they give 20% off refills, in case you didn’t know). Damn if they didn’t give me a bunch of samples including the Le Labo Hand Pomade in Hinoki. That shit is addicting. I promptly bought a full size. Sorry, not sorry.

And if you are a Le Labo newbie, my apologies, but there’s nothing like it. This would make a great stocking stuffer to help discover your favorite scent (or two).

I always have at least a couple backups for when mine wear out, but they do last a good number of wears (say 10-30 wears, depending on how you are wearing). These are game changers. And yes, even if you are big busted! I am currently 34DD and I would wear these daily if I could.

Nippies are so much more comfortable than bras! I wear them with camisoles, tube tops, or any top where a regular bra doesn’t work. I’ve tried them all. Trust me, these are the best.

Sleep

I’m a side sleeper. And around age 40 (HELLO!), I started waking up with pretty gnarly eye wrinkles. WTH? I was more than a little freaked out.

My dear friend introduced me to Silk pillowcases (and no, satin pillowcases are not the same). All of a sudden those horrid little morning wrinkles stopped showing up and I felt so much better about myself.

Then as my hormones started shifting, I started falling asleep much earlier than my husband (seriously, are there any side effects for men getting older?!) and rather than forcing him to go to sleep at 8pm, I bought this sleep mask, and the angels sang. Now I use it to nap during the day (don’t even think about shaming me).

Loeffler Randall Hair Claws

Yes, I know what you are thinking…these are crazy expensive for hair claws ($55 for 2) but trust me, I’ve tried all the cheap ones (Amazon, I’m looking at you) and they all end up in the garbage. The cheap ones either break, hurt, or don’t do shit. Nope.

So instead I invested the $55 and these clips have now lasted me daily for three years.

Lululemon Everywhere Bag

Okay, I’m not going to complain, but when I first bought mine, the only choice was black. I use it 5-6 days a week and it’s worth every penny of that $38. But now they have more colors and materials…what’s a fashion girl to do?!

I’m sure we all have them, but I couldn’t include this list without including my favorite Air Pods (and not gonna lie, I use the noise canceling setting at home while I need peace from my family members).
