Challenge: Style Your 1 Favorite Nordstrom Sale Piece

We are styling our number one favorite Nordstrom sale piece six ways. We’ve had messages from readers saying they love this fabulous Frame top, but they weren’t sure how to style it. We get it — no one wants to have a special item without knowing how to style it all the ways!

Nordstrom Sale Piece – The Details

We’ve had a few people say they didn’t notice this top online but that when they saw it in person, they had to have it. It really is spectacular in person. It’s a soft, stretchy material that drapes beautifully and feels so good to the touch.

Sizing! There are some reviews that say it runs short especially for those with a longer torso. The small was definitely too short for me, so I sized up to medium and it is perfect, especially if you love high rise bottoms (the only thing I wear!). Just know, I have an incredibly long torso and I hate tops that are too short. This is great in the right size. It is a bit stretchy too, so I think in just wearing it a bit and tucking it in, it stretched enough to make it the perfect length.

Rachel here – I’m wearing the xs, my typical size in tops and it fits perfectly. It hits the top  of my high rise jeans and I’m able to give the front a small tuck. I do however have an average to shorter torso compared to Tammy.

Rachel is wearing it here with a long-line bralette, and I have paired mine with a fitted stretch camisole, though I have ordered a Cosabella bralette (said to be great on larger busts), and will review that once it arrives!

Nordstrom Sale Piece – Everyday Casual

This top gives the air of elegance, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dress it down. These days I’m all about using one piece that makes my casual outfit feel more elevated. I just feel more put together even when wearing sneakers and destroyed jeans!

Here I paired it with my favorite (old) Marc Fisher booties…going on my third year with these and they are still one of my favorites. I also love my Clare V. Mirabel crossbody because the cognac bag adds contrast (also matches my hair) but the bag strap (Clare V. makes the best ones and they are well worth the money!) also makes everything more interesting. An easy way to change up a simple bag is to get a new strap – transformative!

Nordstrom Sale Piece – Date Night

You guys know us and our date nights — we kind of live for them. Any good reason to dress up and go out! All three of these unique looks would be perfect for date nights! Notice that you can pull the sleeves up or wear them down at the wrist.

Nordstrom Sale Piece – Special Events

So this one actually surprised me because I don’t usually think of a sweater as being appropriate for special events, but this is so much more than a sweater! The beautiful open crochet weave and pretty neckline make it the perfect piece to pair with a slip dress. And honestly, I usually will carry a pashmina or wrap when I’m wearing this type of dress to an event, but this totally replaces that and makes it much more interesting (and easier), in my opinion. And just one more way to wear your favorite slip dress!

So that is how we would style this fabulous Nordstrom sale piece, and honestly, we could have kept going (I even like it with shorts). This exercise was even helpful for us…and is pretty much the process we go through when evaluating whether an item can be mixed within our existing wardrobe. A great way to maximize your cost per wear for everything you buy! And each time you wear it, it will look completely different.

So…are you buying it? How will you be styling yours? Send us your pictures on how you wearing this favorite Nordstrom sale piece!

Happy Styling,
Tammy & Rachel
