Father’s Day is just around the corner! To help you celebrate that special Dad in your life, we put together our Father’s Day gift guide – and yes, it’s heavily inspired by the guys in our own lives!
The Ember Mug
Coffee or tea drinker? This! With the Ember Mug you can set your precise drinking temp and keep it there – it will maintain your desired temperature for 1.5 hrs or ALL day on the included charging coaster. It’s seriously a game changer. I (Rachel here) personally have this mug and LOVE it – bye bye cold coffee.
A Yeti Backpack
You just can’t go wrong with a Yeti backpack. They are perfect for days at the park or beach, hiking, camping, outdoor concerts…the list goes on! Last year, I gave this to my husband for Father’s Day – the kids and I packed a lunch, a few beers (and water), attached a bluetooth speaker, and we all headed to the park. It was perfect.
Yeti Cooler
Or go big and get him the big Tundra Haul cooler! This is perfect for the Dad that loves to entertain.
Estelle Rocks glasses
Is he a whiskey lover? These glasses are gorgeous. My husband was gifted these for his birthday and they are stunning. They are weighty and elegant but also durable – I have bought him nice rocks glasses in the past that chipped with the slightest bump. Not these – and they have been accidentally thrown in the dishwasher a few times. Highly recommend!
For the Grill Master (or wannabe Grill Master)
Thermapen | Meat Church seasoning
Both my Dad and husband have the Thermapen meat thermometer – a gift that takes the guesswork out of grilling. There is an upgraded version that is wifi compatible so he doesn’t even have to leave the sofa during a football game – those are really only needed for long term smoking though (and my husband does just fine with this version). Both are on the ThermoWorks website. A must have for grilling and smoking meat!
And the Meat Church seasonings are delicious and sure to up his grilling game – we have and love these. They came recommended by my husband’s friend in Texas who is King of the grill (@turn_grills_on).
Cool Sneaks
Every Dad needs a cool pair of sneaks. My husband has been wearing these for a few years now and especially loves them in the Summer months. They are just cool and easy.
The Perfect Casual Shirt – Faherty
Faherty Knit Seasons Shirt
Also @ Bloomies
My husband reviewed this list and the first thing he said was – you HAVE to include my Faherty shirts. He loves these things to say the least… In his words, “These shirts come ‘broken in’ and soft from day 1. The perfect casual shirt for those cool morning errands but also great for casual date nights.”
The Classics –
A Short Sleeve Button Down & Ray-Bans
Bonobos Riviera Shirts | Sunglasses
Bonobos Riviera Shirts – The perfect light weight button down to wear ALL Summer long. They come in a ton of colors and prints. TTS
Ray-Ban Wayfarers – The only sunnies my husband wears. Classicly cool, and they look amazing on just about everyone. You can’t go wrong with these.
Oh! And I just realized he’s also wearing the Nike Killshots that I mentioned above – all of his go-tos in one pic.
Summer Tees – Buck Mason
My husband’s favorite tees – and he’s tried a lot. He loves these for wearing on their own with jeans or shorts. Grab a few, and your guy will be ready for Summer.
New Trunks
We have a beach trip planned for July and my husband could definitely use a new pair of trunks. These Vuori trunks get great reviews and come in a ton of colors. They are described as stretchy and quick drying and also have pockets – a must. I might even grab a pair of these for my Dad.
Also apparently this is a new thing – hybrid shorts that can be used for swimming, working out and lounging. Who knew?!
UPDATE! Ordered and arrived – my husband loves these! An easy win!
AirPods Pro
If he’s still using old school ear buds or just due for an upgrade – you can’t go wrong with AirPods Pro. No matter if he’s hitting the gym, golf course, taking a call or back to business travel – these are a winner.
The Ridge Wallet
If the Dad in your life is still carrying around one of those bulky old-school wallets, it’s definitely time for an update. My husband and Dad have and loves this one. It takes a little getting used to – but not long – and there’s no going back.
Keep Him Looking Dapper
Braun Electric Razor | Beard Kit
A new electric razor is an amazing gift for Dad or Grandpa (and this one comes with beard trimming attachments). And if he does sport a beard – my husband swears by the Beard Club products – he says the shampoo and cream are a must and the beard oil is a nice touch. Beard grooming is it’s own “thing” for sure!
For the Best Lawn on the Block
Orbit Indoor/Outdoor Sprinkler Controller
Tammy and Evan were in Denver over the weekend, and the guys talked about this a lot!…control your outdoor sprinklers from an app on your phone + Alexa. Evan has and loves this – and now John has one on the way.
Solo Stove – Fire Pit
We have been considering / coveting this since last Summer. These Solo stoves get amazing reviews, are absolutely stunning and bring a smokeless fire to your backyard. This would be such an amazing gift. They come in multiple sizes – if your family loves to go camping, this one is portable and would be perfect.
According to their website, they burn any dry hard woods such as birch, maple, hickory or oak – and leave an ultra-fine ash that’s easy to clean.
Backyard Games
Cornhole Set | Ladder Toss | Portable Ping Pong Set | Giant Jenga
Backyard games are always a great idea for both Dad and Grandpa. These are a few of our favorites.
Does he love to golf?
Garm Approach S62 | Rucket Haack Golf Net
You can really spoil him with the Garmin Approach S62 – we don’t speak golf, but Evan (Tammy’s husband) promises that this is sure to be a hit. OR this portable net could be just the thing he needs to practice his swing at home.
Something to Read
This book is up next on my husband’s reading (i.e., listen to) list. It came highly recommended by several of his colleagues and friends. It tackles the issues a lot of adults and kids face today about the pressure to become too specialized in a ‘certain one thing’ vs. being confident (and eager) to learn a little about a lot of diverse subjects and skills and the opportunities being a ‘generalist’ can create.
“The most important business – and parenting – book of the year.” -Forbes
Something to Experience
After a year of staying home, any adventure would be amazing. John and I love to go to concerts – these pics are from the last concert we went to pre-covid at Red Rocks (Greensky Bluegrass) – we even got to go backstage – it was an amazing night.
Widespread Panic is coming to Red Rocks this Summer (my husbands favorite from way back when) – tickets sold out in a snap, but we managed to get them on resale. THIS is his Father’s Day gift this year. You can never go wrong with a gift that makes memories.
That rounds out our Father’s Day Gift Guide – we truly hope that this helps you make that Dad or Grandpa in you life feel special this year – they are all pretty great.
Cheers,
Rachel (& Tammy)
