La Ligne sweaters have always been irresistible to us. It’s those gorgeous stripes. Is there anyone who doesn’t love stripes?

This time of year, new sweaters aren’t usually on my radar unless they are really spectacular, and this one certainly is. Unfortunately it is very underwhelming in the online pictures (don’t you hate that?!).
But when I saw it in person, I couldn’t leave without it. And the fact that it’s on sale is even better. I can’t resist a good deal! Don’t wait though…this sale is going to end soon.
Are Horizontal Stripes Flattering?
For many years, I heard (and believed) that horizontal stripes make one look wider or bigger than they really are. In fact, the opposite is true!

I’m very broad across the chest and shoulders and I’m always trying to minimize that. Horizontal stripes are definitely a favorite of mine.
So go ahead and wear all the La Ligne sweaters you want – because friends, they are fabulous!

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to wear more color. For me, bold color is just an instant mood booster. And I don’t know about you, but in January, I definitely need a little of that.

When wearing such a bold piece, I like to keep everything else more neutral, making the sweater the star of the show.
I chose a beige bag and boots because they don’t overshadow the sweater, and I’ve kept the tones soft and warm.

As always, I styled it up a few different ways to make sure I really love it. I wear sweaters year round, even in the summer during cool evenings or at the beach.

This is the perfect sweater for warmer weather with the sunny and bright colors. I particularly love it with white jeans, and definitely with denim shorts when it warms up.
