Thanksgiving Style Inspiration (+ What to Bring The Host!)

I know we have been super focused on holiday shopping, but we can’t forget Thanksgiving! It’s one of my personal favorite holidays – yummy food, family, Fall weather –  without the stress of all the gifting. Looking for a little Thanksgiving style inspiration? We’ve got you! Plus what to bring the host (if that isn’t you!).

Thanksgiving Style – What I’ll Be Wearing
Cords + Silver Accessories

Wearing an ivory Naked Cashmere sweater with brown Mother corduroy pants and silver veronica beard heels and Cult Gaia bag.

Sweater (TTS) | Pants (only a few left – on sale!) | Shoes | Bag

Does anything scream Fall more than Earthy-toned cords? I don’t think so. I love the rich color of these Mother cords that sold out almost immediately. But do not worry – I have options! At first glance, I thought they might be hard to style, but I was so wrong. See a few other ways I have styled them here.

IF you happen to be a size 25, you are in huge luck. I found them on super sale – linked above! (Note that they do run a smidge small so if between, definitely go with the larger size.)

Here are a few other cords that caught my eye. Definitely check out the Kut from the Kloth pair in a very similar color – they are only $69 and have amazing reviews. I actually took my sister-in-law shopping last week, and she snagged a few jeans by Kut – they are an amazing brand and the price can’t be beat.

The L’agence pair are the splurge but oh so gogeous. The exaggerated flare gives them even more of a 70s vibe which I adore.

And you guys, don’t wait until after Thanksgiving to break out the sparkly accessories. Start wearing them now! I love how they dress up this otherwise fairly simple outfit and the unexpected contrast of silver against brown. These are the accessories I will be wearing all Holiday season (and beyond).

Budget-Friendly Silver Accessories

There are some amazing budget-friendly silver accessories too! These are my favorites… And if  you haven’t checked out our holiday accessories article, you definitely should. We are ready to sparkle this year!

Note the black shoes also come in silver – the link for some reason is insisting on showing the black version. I actually have these in black, they run TTS and are comfortable. And I really love the mixed metallic pair – so fun and unexpected.

Thankgiving Style
Inky Blue Denim or Cords

sweater – On Sale! (TTS) | pants (similar) | shoes (TTS) | Bag (similar)

Gorgeous inky blue bottoms? YES! Tammy published this article a few weeks back and I’m still not over it – tons of good inspiration here, all Thanksgiving-approved. I can almost bet you can shop your closet to pull off one of these looks! Her exact pair is sold out, but if you love the cut, they do come in a ton of different washes. Also I linked my Mother Super Cruisers below which I have and love in a diffrent wash – this dark pair is stunning.

Thanksgiving Style
Cashmere Always Works

Wearing naked cashmere sweater in adobe with distressed Agolde jeans.

Naked Cashmere

If you haven’t heard, we LOVE our Naked Cashmere. Tammy published an amazing article yesterday if you missed it – tons of style inspiration!

Throw on a soft, cozy sweater with your favorite pair of denim, and you’re set! I’m actually wearing a Naked cashmere sweater with my brown cords above. We are over the moon for this brand.

Thanksgiving Style
A Fall Blouse and Denim

A pretty Fall blouse and denim never fail for Thanksgiving. I splurged on a new Fall blouse this season. I don’t own a ton of printed blouses – I’m super picky – but the ones I do have, I adore and wear for years.

Coat (TTS, don’t size up) | Blouse (wearing S)| Jeans (size up 1) | Bag | Bag Strap

This blouse is by Ba&sh, and I love the print and colors – a bricky red, navy and small amount of yellow sprinkled throughout. This blouse will be equally amazing for the Christmas season.

Other Pretty Blouses

Ok you guys, bear with me. I already told you I’m super picky with blouses – I seriously think this is one of THE hardest things to shop for… This is my round-up. Most are solids (with lace detail). The one printed top is a seriously pricey Veronica Beard (of course). And there is a black Agolde which is probably more accurately described as a sweater. But this is the best I could do… Blouses, ugh, why so hard? (Go buy the ba&sh blouse already.)

Thanksgiving Style
A Silky Blouse & Denim

Left: Coat (TTS, don’t size up) | Blouse (TTS) | Jeans (similar) | Boots (similar) | Bag (similar)
Right
Blouse (older Ramy Brook) | Jeans (same cut, newer wash) | Belt (runs small, wearing M/L) | Shoes

A silky blouse is a wardrobe workhorse that everyone needs. Not sure what to wear? In a fashion rut? Silk blouse + denim/trousers/skirt…works every.single.time – and for almost every occasion as well.

It also happens to be the perfect piece to elevate denim for the holidays while still being comfy.

Thanksgiving Style
A Comfy Dress (that’s $80!)

Coat (TTS, don’t size up) | Dress (left in xs & s) | Boots

This might be the perfect Thanksgiving dress. It’s cute, it’s festive, it’s FLOWY. Eat all you want – no sucking in required. And did I mention that it has pockets and only $80?! A winner. Tammy and I both have and love this one. Gosh, and sorry guys, only two sizes remaining.

An Alternative?

I love this dress to wear year-round. For Thanskgiving, I’d style it the same way as the green dress above. It also has pockets! And comes in a really pretty red as well. I love this one!

Thanksgiving Style
An Elevated Shirt Dress
(that’s also perfect for Christmas)

Dress (Olive) TTS | Dress ( Navy) | Tall cognac boots | Short boots (sold out)

This dress is one that you will have for years, and it’s great year-round. It’s equally timeless and chic. Just swap out the shoes and bag for different looks. We plan on styling this one for Christmas too so keep an eye out. Also, I’ve washed mine on delicate / hung to dry many times without issue and minimal wrinkling. It’s worth it!!

It is however pricey. I searched and the only dress I found that even comes close is at Banana Republic – I’ve seen it in person and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s mostly showing sold out online right now but was stocked at my local store. It’s definitely worth watching for restocks or checking your local store.
