The Most Flattering Jumpsuit EVER! (Styled 3 Ways)

I love Alex Mill, and I’ve read so many rave reviews about their jumpsuits I finally decided to try one for myself. Spoiler alert! The Alex Mill Expedition Jumpsuit is officially the most flattering jumpsuit I’ve ever worn!

I styled it three ways, but first, let’s start with their two most popular jumpsuits for a quick comparison…

The Alex Mill Expedition Jumpsuit
vs The Standard Jumpsuit
(in multiple colors)

Expedition Jumpsuit | Standard Jumpsuit

The Expedition Jumpsuit is made from a soft washed twill and is a bit heavier in weight than the standard jumpsuit with a hint of stretch. It has a self-tie belt to accentuate the waist, and the legs can be cuffed or left straight. It’s made of 55% tercel, 42% cotton, 3% elastane. In my opinion, this is a three-season piece – Fall/Winter/Spring, but likely too heavy for the Summer months. (And note that it’s not as cropped as this picture makes it appear – see below.)

The Standard Jumpsuit is the original fan-favorite, vintage inspired jumpsuit. It has a slightly cropped leg and adjustable tabs at the waist. It’s made of 98% cotton, 2% spandex. This is a year-round piece and also comes in a short-sleeve version.

I started with the Expedition jumpsuit because it’s a bit more refined and easier to dress up. Though I adore the standard jumpsuit as well and am already considering the short-sleeve version in army green when the weather warms up. It’s currently on a waitlist and I already added my name – if you’re interested, sign-up here!

The Most Flattering Jumpsuit
All the details…

Expedition Jumpsuit

Let’s talk the details. First and foremost, the Alex Mill Expedition jumpsuit is ridiculously comfortable. We’re talking near pajama-level comfort. The material is a washed twill that is soft to the touch and not the least bit stiff. I’m wearing a size small (size 25/26 in jeans) for reference.

In all of these pictures I have the bottoms cuffed once – I’m 5’7″, so hopefully that helps with length. It’s not nearly as cropped as it appears on the model above, which I was personally glad about. And the sleeves are full length but easily rolled up.

The front has cool chest pockets plus deep pockets on the pants (see above) and a self-tie belt. I adore the belt as it makes this jumpsuit feel more polished. This jumpsuit is forgiving and flattering on the tummy and even manages to do good things for the bum. It’s borderline miraculous.

Tammy asked about going to the bathroom and if there were any wedgie situations – I couldn’t help but laugh. Zero wedgies – there is plenty of room “down there”, and going to the bathroom is a snap. Yes, you have to unbutton the top but it’s super simple and quick.

The Most Flattering Jumpsuit Styled

This jumpsuit is so incredibly easy to style. That’s the ultimate beauty of it – it’s a one-and-done, quick 5-minute pull it together piece. It looks good with basically every shoe (we’re talking sneaks, heels, booties, sandals….everything). Swap out the shoes and accessories depending on your mood or where you’re going, and you have totally different looks. Here are a few examples…

1 – The Most Flattering Jumpsuit
Ready For Spring

Want to make the Alex Mill Expedition jumpsuit Spring ready? Simple – add a sandal and fresh bag. I’m wearing heeled sandals here for an evening look, but this would be equally chic with any flat sandal.

My silver bag is sold out, and I so wish it’d come back. But here are a few bags that have caught my eye for Spring + Tammy has this sparkly silver Cult Gaia and it’s a stunner

2 – The Most Flattering Jumpsuit
With Sneakers

Jumpsuit (wearing S) | Tote | Sneakers | Hat

This jumpsuit is darling with sneakers. It’s the perfect casual outfit to throw on without thinking and still look incredibly chic – and remember what I said, nearly as comfy as pjs. I’m wearing my Axel Arigato Clean 90s sneakers which are my favorite all white sneaker. They annoyingly are almost always sold out, but there are a few sizes available at Nordstrom (linked above).

Tammy has and loves the Reiss sneaker, which is extremely similar to my Axel Arigato – shop them here. And these are my other favorite sneakers, all of which would look amazing with this jumpsuit.

My Arizona Love tote was one of my favorite purchases last Summer. I’ve used it as a purse, beach bag, to/from yoga, the Farmer’s market etc. It’s a workhorse and so dang cute. It’s a piece I’ll use forever.

3 – The Most Flattering Jumpsuit
Ready For A Night Out

Jumpsuit (wearing S) | Coat (TTS) | Heels | Bag

This might be my favorite way to wear the Alex Mill Expedition jumpsuit – with pumps for a night out. It’s so effortless and cool. Just add pumps and done. I’m wearing my favorite L’agence Eloise pumps that are mostly sold out in leopard. However, there are a few sizes left (linked above).

Tammy and I both adore L’agence heels for their comfort, style, and quality. Hands-down our favorite! This green pair is totally making me swoon. Tammy recently bought this snake print pair (post coming tomorrow) and they are so beautiful – a perfect refresh for Spring, and they look good with everything!

Easily My New Favorite Thing

The Alex Mill Expedition jumpsuit is without question the most flattering jumpsuit I’ve ever tried. It works for just about every occasion and takes the thinking out of getting dressed. Throw this on and go, and you’ll look impossibly chic. I’m so excited about this jumpsuit that I’m already thinking about ordering the short-sleeve version (likely green) for Summer. It’s just that good.
