The Ultimate Gift Guide For Him

We love shopping for our guys, but they can be tough! We brainstormed our guys’ current favorites and things we’d personally buy for them. And here it is, our ultimate gift guide for him. (Psssst…John & Evan, stop here! You’re not allowed to read this.)

Naked Cashmere

I’m sure you saw this one coming, but cashmere makes an amazing gift for him. Our favorite cashmere brand, Naked, has so many amazing pieces for the guys. You really cannot go wrong with any of them, but definitely check out the Black Friday section for amazing deals.

Beanie & Gloves

Rachel’s husband has and loves this beanie and it’s under $50 + 100% cashmere. She’s snagging the matching gloves for his stocking.

Sweaters

These are a few of our favorites, but they are seriously ALL good. Rachel ordered her husband this half zip in gray. However, if he doesn’t have a basic black cashmere sweater, our advice is to start there! He will wear it for years.

Two Favorite Workwear Brands:
Twillory & Buttercloth

Twillory | Buttercloth

Rachel – My husband is a huge fan of Twillory. He specifically loves their performance shirt and blazer. They have extreme stretch, don’t wrinkle, NEVER need to be dry cleaned (just throw them in the wash like a tee) and are so versatile. He travels a ton for work and these are perfect for that – no more ironing in the hotel room with these.

He also LOVES Buttercloth’s button-ups. They claim to be 10x softer than other shirts and are also wrinkle free and machine washable.

Our Favorite Date Night Shirt
Faherty Button-Ups

These are THE perfect weekend/date night shirts. They are casual, comfortable, machine washable and read put together and stylish. The twill version above definitely has a dressier vibe, but the flannel is pretty great for Winter too.

The Best Merino Wool Tees

Merino wool tees are popular because they are breathable, odor-resistant, moisture-wicking and comfortable. They are perfect for travel, hiking, wearing as a base layer in the Winter, the list goes on…

These 50% wool/50% polyester Naadam tees are great, and they are currently on super sale. Note that the crewneck tee has very limited sizes remaining, but if you can snag one, it’s an amazing deal.

Wool & Prince also makes amazing merino wool tees, but the long sleeved ones are frequently sold out. Worth noting is that the Wool & Prince tees are heavier than the Naadam tees. Icebreaker is another great brand to check out for merino wool tees.

A Scarf

When it comes to scarves for him, we are a sucker for plaid. The ribbed Ted Baker scarf is pretty if solids are more his jam.

*Rachel – I bought the Burberry scarf for my husband this year. He would never buy this for himself, but in my opinioin, that’s the best kind of gift. The kind that is a little extra and unneccessary. This scarf is absolutely stunning and will last a lifetime.

Men Love Vuori Too

We love our Vuori’s for lounging and working out, and this line is equally amazing for the guys. You really can’t go wrong with any of their pieces, but these three are workhorses.

Cozy Shoes

These Birkenstock Boston’s are perfect for weekends and lounging around. The nonshearling pair is probably our top pick (just add socks when it’s cold out) – I’m sure some of you are currently cringing! Ha!

New Kicks?

Date night? Work? Winter night out? Snow? Casual sneaks? We’ve got you covered.

Socks & Undies

Smartwool socks to keep his feet toasty when it’s cold out, and these second skin Tommy John undies are the best!

Cologne

Rachel – I really wanted to buy my husband new cologne for Christmas, but he is very picky. We walked around Nordstrom smelling different fragrances, and he gave almost every single one a thumbs down.

Our local Nordstrom doesn’t carry Creed (or any of our local stores for that matter), but we have heard amazing things. The Aventus fragrance is their most popular, but I decided to order him the discovery set ($60) before taking the full leap.

It’s packaged in a beautiful box and makes the perfect gift – I did take a quick smell of the Aventus and I can confirm – it’s delicious. If you have a picky guy like me, this discovery set is a win.

Luxe Grooming Tools

If he’s beard guy, a nice beard trimmer is a fabulous idea. And we are thrilled to learn that Le Labo (a brand favorite) makes a beard oil! A quality beard oil is a must-have.

If he just likes a good clean shave, this razor and brush look amazing.

Skincare

Men need to take care of their skin too. Our guys are the worst with using decent skincare products. Both of these sets would be a great way to get him moving in the right direction.

The Ridge Wallet

We included this in our Father’s Day gift guide also, but seriously, if he’s still using an old school wallet – buy him this! This high quality case features an external clip for cash and the interior can hold up to 12 cards without straining. It also features an RFID shield to protect your personal information.

Apple Watch / AirPods Pro / Oura Ring

Does he need/want an Apple watch or new Airpods? What better time than Christmas. Apple will engrave the AirPods, and if it were us, we’d engrave them with a pet name, kissy faces or something equally cheesy.

The Oura Ring for him.

Oura Ring

This is another one that was in our ‘Gift Guide For Her’. And, the Oura ring isn’t just for the ladies. We’re so intrigued by this. Everyone we know that’s really into health and fitness seems to be wearing one of these. It automatically syncs with Apple Health & Google Fit. And it seems to measure – well, just about everything – and apparently it’s more accurate as it’s measuring from your finger vs wrist. It focuses on sleep, energy, general wellness, de-stressing, meditation, fitness… If he hates to wear a watch (like Rachel’s husband), this could be a really amazing option for him.

More Ideas For The Health Nut

The Beast Blender and Hydration System looks so cool – make smoothies and infuse water too. And if he likes to lift weights at home, the Bowflex adjustable dumbbell pair is fabulous. And the On Cloud running shoes get rave reviews by just about everyone.

For the Reader

For those who like their digital books, the newest Kindle Paperweight 2021 is getting rave reviews (Wired.com) and for the ultimate upgrade, there’s always the Oasis.

OR, if he’s like both Tammy’s and Rachel’s husbands and prefers to listen to his books, gift certificates for audio books are a great stocking stuffer.

Tammy – I just signed up for BOTM after pondering it forever. I got my first box in the mail today and I may have squealed a little! If he’s like me and prefers hardcover books, this is a wonderful monthly surprise. Their monthly selections are always really good (you choose from 5) plus you can have two add-ons each month for a much lower price. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

The Perfect COFFEE

Rachel – We included this in our ‘Gift Guide For Her’, but this is truly a joint gift. Our recent coffee upgrade was spurred by my husband as he’s currently working from home so much (like many).

The NespressoWe had a Nespresso for years and for the price it’s really really great. Full disclosure – What I don’t love? The pods. Yes, they are recyclable, but it always felt like such a pain to bag them up and drop at UPS. Also the pods are expensive (+ my husband prefers freshly ground beans at home). But truly, it’s an amazing option. And it’s currently on sale!

(Our first try) The Miele: Well, our Nespresso quit working. My husband was actually happy about it because he finally had a chance to upgrade. We first bought this newly released Miele coffee system and it *was* seriously amazing, but quit working after only a few weeks. We think we should have been doing some sort of milk pipe deep clean every week, but it wasn’t in the instructions, and their customer service was less than amazing. That being said – this is an amazing machine and gets rave reviews. I really think our situation was a likely fluke.

The Jura Z10: After being frustrated with the Miele (we aren’t the most patient), we decided to continue the hunt for the perfect automatic espresso machine. This Jura Z10 was literally just released, and it’s on the way to our house. Its predecessor was the Jura Z8, and if you’re looking for a slightly more budget friendly option, the Jura S8 is highly recommended. But admittedly all of these machines are expensive, and more than I ever thought we’d spend.

We spent quite a bit of time chatting with the coffee expert at Williams Sonoma, and he highly recommended the Jura. What’s so cool about the new Z10? It also makes cold brew! That’s right – freshly ground beans, espresso or coffee at the touch of a button – hot or cold – and the perfect frothed milk. It literally makes every coffee drink you can think of… I will update this article as soon as we have had a chance to try it out in person. But needless to say, we are super excited.

If he doesn’t have an Ember mug – get him one! – nobody has time for cold coffee. My husband and I both have and love this thing – a coffee and tea game changer.

Have It Neat Whiskey Chiller

Have it neat whiskey chiller

Have It Neat Whiskey Chiller

Rachel – My husband has and loves this. It stays in the freezer and you pour the whiskey thru it to chill without watering down your drink. There is a video on the website that gives a much more technical explanation, but if he’s a whiskey guy, trust me – this is a win.

King Of The Grill

Rachel –  A couple years ago I surprised my husband with a Big Green Egg for Christmas. It was probably my biggest gift “win” with him – ever. Cooking on it is an event though –  if you have one, you know. It takes preparation and time.

A few of his friends now have the Traeger, which is definitely easier and more hands-off. If we were to make this purchase again, the Traeger is the way we’d go. So, if your guy is into grilling or smoking and doesn’t have one of these bad boys. This is a crazy good gift.

Backyard Hangouts

A smokeless outdoor fire pit is fun for the whole family – solo stoves get amazing reviews and also look so sleek. Corn hole is also a great gift for the whole family, and if he doesn’t have music for outside, a speaker is a must.

For The Golfer

If he loves golf, grab some new golf balls for his stocking. And this speaker and rangefinder look pretty cool too!

That completes our ultimate gift guide for him – we hope this helps your spoil him this Christmas!
