It’s February 1st and you’re probably starting to think about what to buy your partner for Valentine’s Day. Even if Valentine’s isn’t your favorite holiday, making your partner feel special is always a good idea. Lucky for you, we’re gonna make it easy this year. What to buy your partner for Valentine’s Day…that’ll make them swoon?
What To Buy Your Partner for Valentine’s Day
💙 Him 💙
Undies & Socks
The perfect Valentine’s gift for him? These supremely comfortable Tommy John briefs (Rachel’s husband swears by them) and a fun pair of socks. The hearts are cute but we sorta love the hot stuff pair.
A Vuori Lounge Set
This would make an amazing gift and get so much wear. If he doesn’t have a nice lounge set, we highly recommend this one – in any color.
Cologne
The quintessential Valentine’s gift. Rachel bought her husband the Creed discovery set for Christmas (unfortunately no longer available) and this was by far his favorite scent (and hers too). If you’re unable to test it at a local store, you can order samples directly from their website.
A Cheeky Coffee Mug
(Fill it up with his favorite sweet treat)
If there’s a Holiday to be cheeky, it’s definitely Valentine’s Day. Pick a mug from Etsy and fill it up with his favorite sweet treat.

💗 Her 💗
And let’s be honest, some of these are for Him too ;).
Lingerie She Actually Wants
Make It Sexy
This Anine Bing bra is stunning and screams Valentine’s Day. It’s the perfect sexy lingerie gift that she’ll actually be excited to wear. We’d pair it with the Hanky Panky retro thong – our all time favorite and shockingly comfortable! And this red Eberjay robe is just stunning.
A Splurgy Set
Silk pajamas just might be the perfect gift for her. Rachel’s had this washable set for years and it’s held up amazingly well. We’d size up 1. And also, we love this cozy Skims set and have been meaning to blog about it. The pants do run really long so we don’t recommend for petites.
Speaking Of Silk
Anything by Slip is a home run – these are our favorites. Also, this sleep mist gets amazing reviews and would be great to pair with any of these.
Perfume
We love our perfume and these are our top two picks for Valentine’s Day. Two of our most worn scents – we get asked about them all the time!
Jewelry
Red Enameled Cuffling | Brass Cuffling
We love our Marla Aaron Jewelry – check out our entire article on the pieces we have, how we wear them, and our wishlists. Rachel recently added the brass cuffling to her collection and it’s absolutely stunning and affordable. It would make such a great Valentine’s gift. The red cuffling is more expensive but exquisite – a wishlist item for sure.
What To Buy Your Partner for Valentine’s Day
❤️ Joint ❤️
The best Valentine’s Day gift is really just time spent together. Here are a couple of ideas…
A Couples Massage
Rachel: Pre-covid, my husband and I did a monthly couples massage, and we are picking that back up again starting Valentine’s Day. It honestly was one of the best things we ever did. We’d always book the next month at checkout – typically a weeknight. We’d go in comfy clothes and grab dinner after at a little hole in the wall Indian place across the street. It was such a good way to relax and reconnect without the pressure of planning. I highly recommend it.
And note, if you use a Health Savings (HSA) Card, this qualifies!
Spin That Record
Rachel: My husband and I have been debating a record player for ages and just ordered this one at the recommendation of our record-loving friend. It hasn’t arrived yet but we are having so much fun hunting for records at local shops. And I already ordered James Taylor’s greatest hits for our 20th anniversary in June – we danced to Something In the Way She Moves at our wedding all those years ago.
Candlelight Dinner at Home
Cookbook | Preorder Upcoming Cookbook | Blog
How about trying a new recipe together? We are borderline obsessed with Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest. Her recipes are divine and approachable – and never let us down. If you’re not following her blog, you should be! And we can’t wait for her new cookbook, which will be released in March. We have both already preordered it.
Play A Game
This couples card game has over 4,000 5-star reviews on Amazon. These cards focus on reconnecting and conversation (nothing too scandalous). Add a bottle of wine, light some candles (or turn on the fire), and this could make for a romantic night.
We truly hope you now know what to buy your partner for Valentine’s Day – and more importantly find time to reconnect and enjoy the day together.
