Everyday Booties & Bags – Our Very Best Picks!

It’s Fall y’all, and you know what that means – it’s boot season! We did a round-up of our very favorite everyday booties – the ones that we wear the most – and broke it down by color. Plus we threw in lug boots for fun because who doesn’t love a good lug boot?!

(We’re going to save the tall boots & statement boots for another time.)

And since we are talking our favorite everyday booties, we thought we’d add in our go-to bags. The ones that we wear on repeat. They are mostly mix-and-matchable so we included them at the bottom of this article.

Camel/Taupe/Tan Everyday Booties

This is the most versatile of all the boots – even more so than black, believe it or not. Because of the color, they appear lightweight and are extremely flattering and leg lengthening.

These look great with every wash of denim including black, and also work with trousers and skirts/dresses. They are not only perfect in Fall and Winter but also make a great everyday boot in the Spring. These are *almost* year-round booties.

Rag & Bone Rover Boots | Marc Fisher Alva Boots

Rachel’s Top Pick:

I wore a pair of Vince booties for years – like wore them into the ground. I knew they needed to be replaced this year. My requirements: a 2″ heel (my favorite height for everyday – a little lift but extremely walkable), comfort (again, the walking thing), a somewhat higher shaft to slip under cropped jeans, and lastly – quality. This is one of my most-worn shoes so the cost per wear turns into pennies. This is an item that I know is a good investment.

These Rag & Bone Rover boots checked all of my boxes – I can walk forever in these boots with zero discomfort. They are understated and classic but simultaneously modern and cool – confusing? Probably. Ha! These come in multiple colors (including black) but the camel gets my top vote. I’m wearing these in the above photo.

I added my Rag & Bone Baby Boyfriend belt here because these two were made for one another, however sizes keep popping in and out of stock. I wear a Small, size 25 in jeans for reference

Tammy’s Top 2 Picks:

The Frame Le Lexington everyday booties were absolutely a Rachel influence (she has them in that great matte black). I’ve been looking for lower-heeled cognac everyday booties and when they went back on sale, I couldn’t resist – they just arrived this week. They are really pretty and pair perfectly with all my cognac bags. Look for me to style them a bunch of ways soon, but in the meantime, take a look at all the bags I already know these will pair beautifully with.

Frame Le Lexington Boots paired with all my bags!

For my second pick – I actually bought these Marc Fisher Alva boots last year and have been wearing them for over a year now. They have a higher heel – 3 1/4″ plus a 4″ shaft. Even with the heel, these are surprisingly comfortable and would definitely fall into the everyday booties category. I have finicky feet and Marc Fisher shoes and boots have never let me down. They have just a hint of western vibe which is trending right now, but without feeling too western.

Wardrobe staples - white button-down, jeans, boots

And, they are currently included in Bloomingdales buy more / save more event:

Take 15% off when you spend $150-$299.99, take 20% off when you spend $300-$399.99, or take 25% off when you spend $400 or more on items labeled “TAKE UP TO 25% OFF WITH CODE: SAVEMORE.”

I have them in Medium Natural Suede, but I also think the Brown Suede is a solid option (they lean a bit more towards cognac). And Nordstrom has a lighter pair that I also linked above that’s pretty and versatile, but not currently on sale.

Not gonna lie, though, if I didn’t already have my Marc Fisher Alva boots, I’d be mightily tempted by Rachel’s Rover pick above…oh the sacrifices we have to make, am I right?!

Other Options We Love:

Note – ALL Marc Fisher booties are included in the Bloomingdales Buy More / Save More event, including the ones linked here.

Black Everyday Booties

Wearing the Frame Le Lexington Chelsea boots in black with ripped Frame trousers and a black tank.

Frame Lexington Boots

Rachel’s Top Pick:

I snagged these during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and they are back on sale – yay! These are the same boots that Tammy has in the whiskey color and discussed above. They are seriously dream boots in whichever color you choose – high shaft, somewhat modern Western vibe, and the perfect toe. In black leather, they are very matte which makes them super chic and elevated. I will be wearing these for a very long time.

Also to note, I have worn these quite a bit already – including to an outdoor concert at Red Rocks in Colorado – if you don’t know, that venue requires a ton of walking and stair climbing. These boots were insanely comfortable and durable. Zero blisters and zero scuffs! I am blown away by the comfort and quality of these. Truly they are worth their full price – on sale, don’t think twice.

Tammy’s Top Pick:

Okay so yet again, mine are by my trusty boyfriend (ha!) Marc Fisher. And they are included in Bloomies Buy More / Save More event. This will be my third year wearing them and they still look practically new! Now this can be a little annoying, frankly, because it means I can’t justify another pair, but my husband would say this is a good thing, hmmm!

Truly though, these things are comfortable! When we went to Spain almost two years ago (back when we were actually traveling!), I wore these everywhere, and that meant hours and miles of walking every day. Never an issue. That’s kind of magical in my humble opinion!

If you’re looking for dressier / heeled everyday booties, I also have these Marc Fishers and have worn for the same amount of time. I’ve worn both of them so many times, I couldn’t even begin to figure the value I’ve gotten out of them.

I always size up 1/2 to 8 in all my Marc Fisher boots as I do with most boots. I’d stick to your true boot size.

Other Options We Love:

What can we say, there are a lot of gorgeous black booties. We love each and every one of these.

The Dark Brown Booties We Didn’t Know We Needed

We stumbled upon these in the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and couldn’t resist them. We brought them home, debated them, considered returning (did we really need them??), and ultimately both kept them. This particular pair is currently marked 60% off (woah!) but only left in a size or two. They are absolutely worth the time to stalk for a return – we have seen individual sizes pop in and out of stock.

These boots are amazing with dresses, denim and trousers – the rich color just screams Fall. They also stand up well to black so they are really versatile. Clare V just released new bags, and we both gasped when we saw the grommet bag below.  It’s stunning and seriously the perfect companion to these boots.

We’ve also paired these with multiple other bags including leopard, silver, cognac, green…you get the idea. So you can definitely shop your closet bag-wise.

Boots (mostly gone – but a deal if you can snag in your size!)

The Best Alternative? These Loeffler Randall Boots – but  they’re going fast!

These Loeffler Randall boots in chocolate are absolute show-stoppers. This color bootie seems impossible to find and sells out so fast. If you have your heart set on these, I wouldn’t wait too long.

Stop the Presses! New Brown Everyday Booties JUST IN!

We are HUGE Jeffrey Campbell fans. Quality has always been stellar with a very reasonable price point. These Jeffrey Campbell Jerema everyday booties have a very similar profile to our favorite Lafayette boots, above, that are almost sold out. I think these are a stellar alternative. Love them!

Lug Boots

Vagabond 2.0 Lug Boots

Our Budget-Friendly Pick:

Remember these fabulous boots I posted about earlier this year? They are still a great choice and super affordable. These were my most-worn boot last Winter. I love them for everyday but they are also amazing in city snow and slush.

I wore them over skinny jeans, under cropped jeans, with joggers and they even look great with dresses. I had every intention of making them my go-to boot again this year, but then, the Stuart Weitzman boot came along, see below. When I saw the Weitzmans on Tammy the green-eyed monster came out and I had to have them. (It’s seriously a hazard of this blogging gig.)

But, if you are looking for a more affordable option, I truly can’t recommend the Vagabonds enough. If  you’re between sizes, definitely go with the smaller size.

Our Top Pick:

We both ended up snagging these beauties on sale at Bloomingdales, and they are currently included in their Buy More/Save More sale at 25% off making them $394. These are what we would call lug boot perfection. They are so chic and perfectly feminine with the stitching across the toe.

Most of the other lug boots that we loved were coming up at a much higher price point, and that just wasn’t happening. On sale, these are an incredible purchase, and you can never go wrong with Stuart Weitzman.

Sizing note! These do run slightly big. Tammy normally sizes up 1/2 in most boots to 8 but in this case, she took her true size of 7.5. Rachel sized down 1/2 from her normal boot size.

What To Wear With White Jeans In Winter

See how we are styling them with white jeans for late winter and spring! So fresh.

Our Current Favorite Bags To Pair With The Boots
(mix-and-matchable)

We are both lovers of neutral colors which is classic and forever chic, however it can sometimes feel a little boring. Our favorite way to liven up an all-neutral look is to add a fun statement bag. Our go-to brands for this are Clare V. and Staud.

While these bags are not inexpensive, they are definitely not high-end designer label either. They are high quality though and will last years. And while they are statement making, they aren’t overly trendy, so there is no-risk of them feeling dated quickly.

All The Clare V….

The Gorgeous Green Bags By Staud

We both love green and it’s been majorly trending all year, and it’s going strong into Fall. These olive green bags by Staud make us swoon. Rachel preordered the olive bean bag and it finally shipped. She will report back as soon as it arrives. These bags are a great way to add green into your wardrobe, and you can bet that they will be amazing again next year.

Simple Black

And that’s about it for our favorite everyday booties and bags. As always, please message us if you have any questions! We love to help!

Happy Weekend,
