Michael Stars Racerback Midi Dress - Fall layers

Layer a Graphic Tee Over a Dress — Fall Layers in Southern California!

Fall Layers — that’s how you style yourself for Fall even when it’s hot as you know what!

It was 100 degrees today. Yep, that is early fall in San Diego. And I was working on a post about sweaters all day — not exactly appropriate attire to wear in this weather!

But I will not complain! I do sometimes miss all the true seasons (I grew up in Alberta, Canada) but overall I feel pretty dang lucky to live where we live. And soon enough it will be sweater weather.

I’m going to try to show ideas for dressing in fall layers, even when you live in a warmer climate. As everyone is talking about pumpkin spice and boots and sweaters, we can feel a bit left out in this heat…but never fear, you can dress in fall layers even when it’s hot!

In this case, a dress I’ve already shown, only with a cute graphic tee tied over top. The graphic tee just makes this dress feel more fall and less summer. You could easily throw some sneaks on with this also, but I’m enjoying all my sandals as long as I possibly can!

Read all about my love for this dress in a recent article. This dress is so versatile you can dress it up or down and style it a bunch of different ways, which I’ll do throughout this season!

Rachel is really the graphic tee expert and she’s helping me (pushing me) to get on board too, ha! Actually I’ve always been a fan of Zadig & Voltaire graphic tees, but she’s helped me find a love in the Anine Bing graphic tees and I recently purchased the London one, and I love it so much! Look for an upcoming post on that soon!

Note my fall layer here is an old Zadig tee, but there are plenty of great options available now, and both Zadig & Voltaire and Anine Bing graphic tees last forever!
