I know a lot of you will be in colder climates for a few more months, but this is the time I start thinking about lightening up my closet for Spring.
One easy way to do that is with shoes and bags!
Let me preface this by saying I haven’t had an ivory bag or shoes in eons. That silly fear that I’ll destroy them within minutes of putting them on and all.

We have been big fans of L’Agence clothes for a while, but it was only recently we tried their shoes.
The L’Agence Gisele shoes are so good I have two pairs (one leopard, which I’ve written about before here). They are TTS (I’m wearing 7.5).
We both have finicky feet and cannot tolerate uncomfortable shoes. Or maybe that just comes with age – life is too short to wear bad shoes! In any case, these are heels we don’t mind wearing for hours! They have a built-in cushion that actually makes wearing heels enjoyable!

With A Killer Ivory Bag
When Rachel brought home this cute ivory Grace Clare V. bag from NYC, it gave me the permission to consider lighter accessories, too! As Type A personalities, we like to keep our things nice, so if she could do it, so could I!

Her article on ivory bags kicked off my obsession with this insanely gorgeous Staud Jetson bag.
FWIW sometimes we overlap, but we do each purposely try unique items for the sake of the blog and reviewing different pieces for you all!
This bag gives me all the heart eyes. It’s so chic, works for day or night, and actually fits a lot. It’s also super lightweight, like you are carrying nothing.
It comes in a bunch of colors (more than shown here) plus a larger size. They are all good.

Easy to Style
I think people tend to get overwhelmed by styling ivory and snakeskin accessories. In actuality, it’s so easy. They both go with almost everything.

To lighten up for Spring, and add some contrast, I love pairing snakeskin and ivory pieces together. To my eye, this is extremely fresh, especially because a lot of people shy away from ivory.
And let’s all just pause a second to appreciate how freaking much ivory brightens up the look of black!

The snakeskin adds the needed contrast. And for me at least, wearing snakeskin shoes is much easier than white or ivory (and you won’t really see any marks or flaws).
I would pair these shoes with pretty much any of my bags…and the same goes for the ivory bag. This is like a rainbow of my favorite bags!

Just Add A Blazer
I heard an interesting thing today in a planning meeting for San Diego Women’s Week (we will be there, if you want to attend)! Someone mentioned a study that showed women were taken more seriously when wearing a jacket or blazer.

Now I’m not one for being told what to wear, but on the other hand, it’s definitely something to consider. After all, it’s not like people even realize they have these biases.
Honestly, we love blazers with jeans for that perfect juxtaposition of tailored and casual. And let’s face it, we feel just a little bit cooler when we wear them.
The Veronica Beard Scuba Blazer is a cult favorite and for good reason. It’s got the perfect stretch and style and so very chic.
And the above outfit would look just as cool with loafers or sneakers!
