The Cassi dress is what I can only describe as va-va-voom. At 50, my first question was…but can I pull it off? And more importantly, should I? When I posted that question to readers, I got a resounding YES.
And here’s what’s important. When I put this dress on, I felt like a million bucks. I rarely wear bodycon dresses anymore. Usually they taunt me with every imperfection in my body. The Reformation Cassi dress doesn’t do that. In fact, it’s surprisingly forgiving.
Believe it or not, I’m not wearing a spanx or a bra. I simply wore my Hanky Panky retro high waist thong. If you’ve never tried them, they are the best.
So I say, life is short…wear the dress! Wear what makes you feel good and don’t worry about the rest.

Sizing

This dress is meant to be fitted to holds things in. I’m wearing a size small. I often have to size up to medium in dresses to accommodate my bust and wide back, but thanks to good stretch, this fits like a glove. Don’t size up!
I could have worn a strapless bra, but because of how fitted it was, I didn’t feel the need to.
One thing to note is that the slit does go pretty high, which I’m fine with, because, like I said, this is a sexy dress.

I’m all about wearing everything at least three ways. I wore this dress a lot last summer and will also be wearing the hell out of it this summer (I have no need for another black dress this year).

Final Thoughts
If you are looking for a sexy little black dress, the Reformation Cassi Dress is definitely worth a try. It is simple and classic enough in style yet fantastically comfortable (life is short – if my clothes aren’t comfortable, it’s a no).
Interestingly, the older I get, the more confident I am. I say if it feels good, wear it!
And, I feel good about Reformation’s sustainability. I really do try to focus on fewer better things. Sometimes the pieces I choose are at a higher price point, but I believe that Reformation offers quality pieces at a fair price.
