Cinq à Sept Khloe Blazer Review – THE Piece for Spring!

We are so excited about this Cinq à Sept Khloe Blazer Review – dare we say this is the most thrilling piece we’ve added to our wardrobes lately, and the thing we are most looking forward to wearing this Spring.

We both decided we wanted a white blazer for Spring/Summer…well, Tammy decided, then Rachel followed suit. It almost always goes like that. One of us sets our eyes on something, and then we both end up going along for the ride.

And rest assured, we tried a lot of white blazers. It became a joke between us – like, we have got to close the deal on this white blazer situation. Why was it so hard? They were all *too business* or *too heavy* or *too cropped*  or *too ivory*…nothing felt just right.

Until the Cinq à Sept Khloe blazer that is. So rest assured, this is a good one and definitely stands out from the bunch!

Same Jacket – 2 Versions
Denim & Crepe

Denim Blazer (TTS – 6) | Crepe Blazer (bloomies) Blazer (saks) (wearing 2)

Before we get to the full review and WHY we love this blazer so much, we wanted to point out that we are wearing two versions of the same blazer – Tammy the Khloe blazer in denim, and Rachel the Khloe blazer in crepe.

They are extremely similar and you cannot go wrong with either, but we thought it was worth pointing out the differences to avoid any confusion. So, how are they different?

  • The denim is slightly heavier than the crepe, making it a great choice if you’re looking for a year-round blazer. (Great for climates such as California and the South!)
  • The denim is slightly more structured, whereas the crepe is more flowy.
  • The denim is a pure white, and the crepe is actually a bright ivory. Rest assured there are no yellow tones, and it looks great paired with pure white, so no worries there.
  • The crepe runs TTS, and the denim runs TTS to slightly large. Rachel needed to size down one in the denim blazer. Tammy needed to size up one in the crepe.
  • The denim has contrasting buttons, whereas the crepe has fabric covered buttons.
  • The crepe version comes in multiple colors, including black and a bunch of pretty Spring colors.

The Other Blazers I Considered

I find blazers to be especially hard. I have broad shoulders and a big bust, which makes it challenging to find a flattering fit. In the past, I’ve often avoided blazers all-together because it’s such a frustrating shopping experience.

I do however have and love the Veronica Beard Scuba Blazer in black (as does Rachel) and found myself coveting a white blazer for Spring. It’s worth noting there is also a Veronica Beard Scuba Blazer in white.

I tried on several other popular styles – the Veronica Beard Miller and one from Smythe – and both are really solid choices. But after much pondering, the Cinq à Sept Khloe won out.

Why It’s My Top Pick

Some of the reasons I chose the Cinq à Sept Khloe blazer – the casual styling, the ruched sleeves (no need for tailoring with my short arms), the perfect fit, and it can be dressed up or down. The price is also much more palatable!

Once I decided on the Cinq à Sept Khloe blazer, I had to decide between the crepe and denim versions. They are both really good, but I ultimately went with the denim as a solid year-round option for California (it is slightly heavier than the crepe version, but still perfect for Spring/Summer too). I also really love the fabulous but subtle buttons.

Styling

Now that I’ve had it for a while, I can say I had no idea how versatile a white blazer would be. It’s like a breath of fresh air, seriously!

I truly adore wearing it with blue denim plus a pop of color. This jacket looks good with all the bright colors we are crushing on – green, orange, blue, hot pink.

It also looks fabulous with all black, which is wearable year-round. This can easily be dressed for the office or date night.

Speaking of these satin pants, I’ve had them for over a year and they are still a top favorite. See 5 Ways To Style The Ramy Brook Satin Allyn Pants for more styling ideas.

The Other Blazers I Considered

I knew I wanted a blazer for Spring, and confession, I originally thought it was going to be the Veronica Beard Miller blazer in navy. I even ordered it, and it fit like a glove. So what changed my mind? I wear so many dark colors in Winter (which can be long in Denver) and found myself craving something light and fresh. And the Miller jacket in navy was a smidge too close to my beloved Veronica Beard Scuba Blazer in black.

There is a Veronica Beard Miller blazer in white (on preorder but ships in the next week or so). It’s absolutely gorgeous but a decent bit more expensive than the Cinq à Sept. It honestly made me nervous to spend so much on a white blazer (red wine and all that). But, it’s a truly beautiful blazer and you can’t go wrong, especially if you’re less accident-prone than me.

I also tried the Smythe Duchess blazer in ivory and it’s a lovely cut (though it does run small, I sized up to a 6). The problem? It was very ivory with almost a yellow-y undertone and ultimately not the color I wanted. That being said, I highly recommend this blazer in another color, just know you’ll need to size up.  This Asymmetrical Wrap blazer by Smythe is a pure white and looks really pretty, but I did not personally try it.

Why It’s My Top Pick

Ultimately I fell in love with the Cinq à Sept Khloe blazer (the crepe version in ivory). What do I love about this blazer?

  • I love the ruched sleeves, which give this blazer a relaxed look – especially great in the warmer months. All the Spring & Summer vibes!
  • The crepe material is very drapey and light (being in Denver, I know this is a piece I’ll primarily reach for in Spring/Summer so I wasn’t worried about a year-round weight).
  • It fits me like a glove, and the length hit me just right (right at the bottom of my bum).
  • Even though it’s technically ivory, it is a very light ivory without any yellow undertones. I’m wearing a pure white tank with it here, and it looks great.

Styling

And no surprise, I adore it styled with my bright green pumps. I know I’ve been wearing these things on repeat (sorry, not sorry). My goal is always to buy things that make my heart skip a beat, and then wear the heck out of them. And you guys, they were just restocked! They have been sold out for weeks, and I’m so happy to see them back. They won’t last long. See my article, Fun Colorful Heels Are My Favorite Spring Trend, for more recommendations.

But don’t think this blazer is only for nights out or dressing up. You can see it styled down here with simple loafers, and it’s also super cute with flat sandals or even sneakers.

The styling options are really endless, and we will definitely be giving you guys more ideas! I’m dying to pair this with shorts…come on, Summer!

Details & Sizing

The Details

Here are a few close-up pictures of this stunning blazer so you can see all the details. You can see from these photos that this blazer has a very relaxed and casual fit. I love that it gives off-duty vibes and doesn’t read too business. And the buttons are fabric covered for a sleek, monochrome look.

Also note that I steamed it before we left the house, and the wrinkles released like a dream. So no worries about constantly taking this one to the dry cleaner. In addition to that, I did get a small smudge of something on it…I mean, white can be a little scary, right?! It wiped off so easily with a damp rag, so I do feel like this material is a bit stain resistant (barring any true tragedies).

Sizing

To me, this blazer runs very TTS, I’m wearing my usual size 2 (which is my same size in Veronica Beard blazers). I also tried Tammy’s denim version and it’s worth noting that one runs a big larger – I think I would have needed a size 0 in that one.

Cinq à Sept Khloe Blazer Review

After much searching, we can recommend the Cinq à Sept Khloe blazer with absolute certainty. It’s the piece we are most excited about this season, and you can bet to see it a ton. It’s the perfect “third piece” to all your Spring/Summer looks, and the styling options are truly endless. Much more to come!

    • Hi there! I’m typically size 8 in the tops but I have really wide shoulder and bust. So i struggle with blazers and absolutely need to try them on. The Khloe is a looser fitting style. Maybe Veronica Beard blazers would fit your body type better!
