Gifts for the Beauty & Self Care Lover

Have a beauty lover in your life? These are our favorite beauty and self care gifts…from the splurgy to the under $25.

Westman Atelier Gift Sets
(I’m a super fan)

I’m a huge fan of Westman Atelier makeup – it’s completely taken over my makeup bag. (See my full article with all of my top picks – here.) The prodcuts are luxurious, clean (non-toxic!) and apply like a dream.

The Clean Glow Trio is an amazing gift (note it is not full-sized). But it includes three of my very favorties – babycheeks (a multi-use blush stick), a highlight (Lit is my favorite) and contour (I use biscuit).

I had never used a contour or highlight before Westman Atelier – I’m typically a ‘less is more’ makeup type. But these are seriously effortless to apply and so natural looking. Tammy noticed the contour in one of my photos and bought it for herself. It really makes your cheek bones pop in a natural way.

The Holiday Lip Set is also an amazing pick. It incluces a full-sized highlight in Lit (my top pick in the entire line) and also a limited edition lip suede. I haven’t tried this particular lip suede but I have the two other color palettes and adore them. Wear them on their own, mix the colors, apply a gloss on top… you can also blot them for a pressed-in, subtle look or apply with a lip brush for a bolder look.

Makeup Brushes by Westman Atelier

This is splurgy for sure but such an amazing gift. A limited-edition brush collection from Westman Atelier that includes eight luxurious brushes. All handmade in Japan by the most prestigious brushmaker in the world. These will last a lifetime.

I don’t have the entire set but I do have the lip brush and one of the eyeshadow brushes. I highly recommend!

Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar

Charlotte Tilbury is another one of our favorite makeup brands. This Advent calendar with all Charlotte Tilbury products would make an amazing gift for almost any beauty lover in your life. All of the included makeup products are neutrals that would look beautiful on any skin tone.

Shine Apothecary

Shine Apothecary

You guys, our good friend Rachel (@stumbleandshine) recently opened her own online store – Shine Apothecary. It’s all tried-and-true clean beauty (skincare + makeup). Rachel knows her stuff and I can’t wait to try a few things. There are so many things on her website that would make amazing gifts – we are talking indie brands and  solopreneurs!

Message Rachel and she’s happy to help with any questions – on Instagram or thru her website.

Brow & Lash Serums

Trust me – every woman would be happy to receive this duo. Who doesn’t long for lush lashes and full brows. I’ve used both of these products for about two years and have noticed a huge difference. They work!

Once you grow your lashes/brows to their desired length and thickness, you can apply every other night for maintenace.

Le Labo Discovery Set

Oh Le Labo, how we love you. Surprisingly I quit perfume for a while – I’m honestly not sure why.  That is until Tammy re-introduced me. And Le Labo – our very favorite. This discovery set includes Le Labo’s entire line (excluding the city scents) and would be the perfect gift for someone new to perfume or the Le Labo line.

Our Favorite  Scents by Le Labo

These are our top three favorites. I won’t describe them all – you can click on them and read the details. Better yet – pop into your local Nordstrom or Le Labo boutque if you have one in your city. Personally, I think perfume is one of the most romantic gifts. Hint hint husbands.

A Dyson Splurge

But are they worth it?  Yes. Yes they are. I’ve had my Dyson hairdryer for  3+ years and it’s a have-to-have for me. My hair really is so much healthier since using it.

I recently bought the flat iron as my stylist told me it’s half the heat damage of a regular straightener. It is also cordless which is really nice. The only caveat is that it is heavier than your typical flat iron but it’s a non-issue for me.

I use it to both straighten and curl my hair. It did take a little getting used to – I went from hmmm ‘I may return this’ to ‘I love this thing’ over the course of a few weeks. My hairstylist had the same experience. And note, if you purchase from Nordstrom, you can return it if it’s not for you – even after the box has been opened.

I’ve never personally tried the air wrap but I’ve heard amazing things.

Bare Hands Manicure Set

“Packed in a vegan leather case, The Polisher and Cuticle Oil hydrate, condition cuticles, and add a natural shine—with only the purest ingredients. The Polisher’s glass and mineral blend gently bind keratin cells with no chipping and no dry time needed.”

This is of of my favorite rituals and a top gift pick. My good friend Deb (go check out her account @currentlydk on Instagram) introduced me to this set. It even makes my short, thin nails look good!

A Luxe Bath

All the things for a relaxing, luxe bath. Much needed after the holiday rush.

All Things Nécessaire

These are my favorite products for fighting off dry skin. I’m naturally dry and live in Colorado so I’ll take all the moisture I can get. I mix the mositurizer with the body serum (a little goes a long way) after my shower. These products are worth it! And a great gift too.

Fancy Candles

Fancy candles are always a yes.

The Perfect Skincare Travel Kit

I’m a skincare addict and a lot of my prodcuts are honestly purchased from my dermatologist. I do however really like the Colleen Rothschild line. The prodcuts feel luxurious, don’t break the bank, and they actually work!

This is the kit I always use when traveling – it’s perfect. It’s also great for anyone who wants to try out the line before purchasing full-sized prodcuts.

Beauty Tools

Oh beauty tools… the ones I personally have?

-This Steamer: It’s hydrates and plumps your skin and is frankly just relaxing. This is a great gift for an at-home spa treatment.

-The GloPro Microneedler: I absolutely think this helps with product absorption. I  typically use every other night.

-The LED mask: I’ve never tried it, but it’s the newest craze. It’s supposed to reduce fine lines and zap bacteria to minimize break-outs. People rave about it!

A Theragun

“A smart, ultra-quiet percussive therapy device that works deep to relieve muscle tension, soreness and pain and speed recovery.” YES Please!!! I’ve wanted this thing forever.

For A Good Night’s Rest

The BEST Sheet Set

I love Parachute’s linen bedding. It’s magically cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. It’s oh so soft, and literally just gets better with each wash. We sleep with a flat sheet and duvet (no top sheet), which also makes it super quick to make the bed in the morning. There will be a black Friday sale – there always is – we’ll let you know as soon as we see it!

Silk!

A silk pillowcase is a neccessity. It’s better for your hair and skin as it’s not drying. And you wake up with frizz-free hair and without that side wrinkle (side sleepers, I know you hear me on this). I also love the silk scrunchies for putting my hair in a top knot for bed.

Our Favorite Under $25 Beauty Gifts

These are my favorite gifts for the beauty and self care lovers out there. And if that happens to be you, perhaps just forward this to your husband or partner. 😉

x Rachel
