I’ve had this dress for well over a year now, and it’s my favorite dress to wear in the summer. Michael Stars has several similar styles, but the racerback cut and ruching makes this style particularly flattering.
I don’t often wear bodycon dresses these days, but the ruching on this dress really helps to camouflage trouble spots!
It comes in both Regular and Petite sizes. I purchased it in Regular Small, but I did have it hemmed a little (free with your Nordstrom account) because I have shorter legs and prefer a slightly shorter hemline. I didn’t choose Petite because I have a long torso.

I love how this almost-cropped fitted tank really elevates this dress and highlights the waist.
I purchased this tank a couple weeks back but was inspired to try it over a dress after seeing a favorite blogger friend Rose @RoseHayes styling hers over a dress. Smitten! Go check out Rose and give her a follow!
This tank does run a bit short for people like me with a long torso, however it fits great with my high waist denim. I sized up to Medium.

Shop your closet! This week I was reminded how many people forget to do this! Thanks to Paul @urbsuburbstyle for the reminder to share. Most of the pieces in my closet are several years old. I buy only the pieces I absolutely love and that I can use and wear in many ways.
Grab your favorite graphic tee (or any contrasting tee) and tie it at the waist to give definition. It’s one of my favorite easy looks.

Once summer hits, I tend to tie all my tops, including button down shirts. It’s also a great way to have a third piece without having something super heavy like a jacket or blazer. I love the whimsy of loosely tying a shirt over anything!
