A Classy Silk Blouse Perfectly Offsets Short Shorts

A Classy Silk Blouse Perfectly Offsets Short Shorts…

I’m having a moment with my short denim cutoffs this year. In the past, I have basically lived in them alll Summer long – my ride or die go-tos. This Summer? I’m just not feeling them as much. Everytime I wear them, I find myself tugging at them to keep them from riding up and feeling too short – and for the first time, I just feel a little overexposed.

Maybe it’s living in Denver? Shorts season is only a few months here and I’ve become accustomed to being more covered. Maybe I need a size up? I have ordered a larger size to see if that fixes the problem. Or maybe?!? I am just done with them… Time will tell! (But I don’t give up easily – haha.)

I do find, that if I’m going the short shorts route, I much prefer my top to be more covered…it helps balance out the look. And one of my favorite, more elevated ways to do this? A silk blouse. I’m in love with this green one by Zadig – a year round piece that can be styled a thousand ways and easily worn to the office or date night. I’ll link a few of my other favorites as well.

Here you can see Tammy dressing up a silk blouse with white jeans.

**SALE ALERT:  My exact blouse is final sale on the Zadig website. I linked my blouse at both Zadig & Nordstrom – if you prefer to shop at Nordstrom, definitely request a price match (you can do that online now!).

How do you guys feel about short cutoffs?? Anyone else feeling the struggle?
