THE Most Flattering Slip Dress Styled 5 Ways

This is THE most flattering slip dress – a staple piece that can be dressed up and down and mixed in with all of your other favorite pieces. I have been looking for this exact slip dress for ages but could never find one that was quite right.

What took me so long you ask?!

  • For one, many slip dresses tend to cling to the tummy and I will always and forever have a  little pooch (3 kids, yep) – unless I give up all the good things, and well, that’s not happening. But the cut of this dress magically skims over the tummy area giving a beautiful hourglass silhouette that is extremely flattering. Also, there is zero need for spanx (or sucking in) – you have my word.
  • It can easily be dressed up AND down because of  these two things…
    • A modest neckline – A lot of slip dresses tend to have a dangerously low cut, making them amazing for night but not so great for day. This dress is definitely sexy but the neckline is modest enough to pair with sneakers or flat sandals during the day.
    • No thigh high slits – Now, I admittedly love a good slit (see my Reformation dress here) – but for me, this puts a dress solidly in the “evening out” category. You’re fully covered with this dress.
  • It’s made of 100% acetate which is very silk-like but a bit thicker – the care instructions say that it can be hand washed (delicate cycle) and line dried. I haven’t washed mine yet, but I will be the guinea pig and let you know! Also, I don’t want to say no wrinkles, so let’s go with minimal wrinkling.

Now, if you are on Instagram, head on over there and watch my reel styling it 5 ways (using the pieces linked below). You really can’t go wrong with this dress – a year round piece that oozes with versatility.
