Wearing the Anine Bing Dylan coat in camel with a Frame blouse also in camel, a leopard clutch and Redone jeans.

The Anine Bing Dylan Camel Coat Styled (Camel on camel)

I’m in love with my Anine Bing Dylan coat in camel, and I’m sure you’ll notice by the frequency with which it will appear on the blog. It makes almost every outfit cooler. It has an oversized fit that I adore (it doesn’t read all-business) and I especially love that the sleeves can be rolled or scrunched up. It can be worn open or tied.

This week I thought I’d focus on a few of my favorite ways to style it – although it can seriously be thrown over just about anything.

One trick is to pair it with a similar colored blouse or sweater. This is such an effortless outfit formula that looks so elevated and stylish.

Here I went with a dressier blouse for a dinner date, but you could absolutely style this down with a similar colored sweater. I contrasted the camel with black booties and paired it with a leopard clutch to bring the colors together, but a solid black bag would have worked great as well.

One last style tip – I love a bright lip paired with camel. Here, I’m wearing Westman Atelier’s lip suede in red. This is my favorite palette for a bright lip and is so much easier to wear than it might appear.

Sizing Tip: The Dylan coat runs TTS and is meant to be oversized. However, if you’re between sizes I’d recommend going with the smaller. I’m wearing an XS.
