Denim Under $100 - Lee Straight in colorway KC Blues

My Favorite Denim Under $100 – I’m Shook!

Favorite denim under $100? Yeah, I’m surprised too. After all, neither of us are really known for wearing super affordable denim.

Last month, Rachel ordered and posted about her new Lee jeans. The pictures were, of course, Uh-mazing. I mean have you seen them? Jaw drop.

I was still a little resistant to try them. Why? Well because I grew up in a small rural town in Canada where only ranchers and cowboys wore Lee Jeans (and Wranglers). That’s the image I always had of Lee jeans.

After Rachel posted, Lee reached out to us and asked if we were interested in trying a few more pairs. She looked so good, even Lee noticed!

I decided to scour their site in hopes of finding something fabulous. After we each picked out two pairs, I waited with baited breath for them to arrive. Honestly, I was more curious than anything, and I was so worried I would hate them. Spoiler alert: I loved both.

First up are the Vintage Modern High Rise Straight in colorway KC Blues. I ordered in my normal size 26, however these are a bit snug. As they are 100% cotton, I do expect them to loosen up, but in the meantime, I am waiting for one size up to arrive so I can better compare and report back. After wearing these for a few hours, they did loosen a decent amount, but I’m definitely curious if I’ll prefer the larger size.

I wanted to post just a sneak peak of these jeans until I’m able to give a more thorough review, which I will do very soon. In any case, color me impressed. Never in a million years did I think I would love Lee jeans, and good denim under $100…well that’s just a huge bonus.

My sweater in blue is sold out, however the charcoal grey looks gorgeous and camel is just classic. I also found a square neck version on huge sale at Saks. I sized up to Medium.

My jeans are in colorway KC Blues, but I’m also loving Overland.
