Wearing a white button down Frank & Eileen shirt with Moussy jeans, Veronica Beard silver heels and a black feather bag making a peace sign.

A Forever Chic Outfit Formula

A forever chic outfit formula…white button down + bright lip + heels. It never fails.

The Shirt – My white Frank & Eileen button down is my ride-or-die. I’ve had it for countless years now and I wear it year-round. It’s worth every single penny. I wash it on delicate, hang it to dry, and wear it as is…zero ironing or steaming involved. It has a lived in look that makes it look effortlessly cool.

In the Summer, I like to roll up the sleeves. In cooler months, I leave the sleeves long and let them peek out of a jacket. I almost always do the editor’s tuck with a white button down. It makes the whole look feel less stuffy and more fashion forward.

See this YouTube video tutorial on the tuck.

(Shirt – TTS, Jeans – size up 1, Shoes – if between, go up)

The Lips – Trust me, you need this Westman Atelier lip palette. I know the colors might look intimidating if you’re not used to wearing a brighter lip. But you can blot a small amount for a more pressed in look or use a lip brush for a bolder look. I promise – they are so simple to wear.

A bright lip makes a simple outfit. And the beauty of it is that you really don’t need much else. I typically don’t wear much (if any) eye makeup if I go the bright lip route.

The Heels and Bag – Well, Tammy & I have waxed poetic about out feather bag. Our exact bag is currently sold out, but I linked some alternatives at different price points. And these silver heels. They are my new favorite thing and all I want to wear when we go out lately. A whole article on metallic shoes / bags coming later this week!
