Made for the tomboy at heart, The Tomcat by MOTHER jeans (the Confession wash) are the perfect high waisted boyfriend jeans.
These jeans have become so popular, it seems like most people have at least tried them, even Rachel. We are both 5’7″ but I am longer waisted with shorter legs, and she is shorter waisted with longer legs, so she found them a smidge short on her.
Instead, she bought (and loves) the high waisted Rider Skimp in the same wash, The Confession. They are more of a straight fit vs boyfriend, but with the same wash, they are equally gorgeous.
I consider these my distressed boyfriend jeans but with a higher waist, and I find them super comfortable and flattering.
My MOTHER Tomcats are absolutely the jeans I’ve worn to shreds. They are soft and comfortable and stretch perfectly. Mine look a little (a lot!) different than they did brand new. I wasn’t so careful with the knees (oops) and did too much bending over, putting my foot through the hole when putting on (I’ve since learned to be more careful with distressed jeans).
That aside, everywhere I go people ask me what they are, so perhaps I’ve created a new MOTHER Tomcat style? These are the jeans I’ve worn to shreds, but I still love them (and have even considered buying a replacement pair). They get softer with wash and wear and do stretch out a little so if you want them a little tighter go with your normal size but if you want them to be comfortably loose, then size up 1 like I did (to 27).
