Unbeknownst to each other, Rachel and I were both ordering almost the exact same black tank top. She had ordered the LNA and I had ordered the Anine Bing.
After she got hers, I was way too curious to see the differences, and whether one was better, so I ordered the LNA to compare. Well, the results were interesting. Rachel’s in-depth reviews on the LNA are here and here.
A little back story of our upper body types. Rachel is more narrow and petite. I am more broad and busty. I have a long torso and she has a shorter torso. These cut-in tank tops often do NOT work for me, because it usually accentuates my already wide shoulders, so my hopes weren’t particularly high.
Anine Bing Eva Black Tank Top
- 100% organic cotton, narrow ribbed fabric.
- Longer in the torso – better fit for someone who is longer waisted.
- The cut-in area is not as narrow. Better for someone who is wider in the shoulders and bust (Tammy)!
LNA Cid Black Tank Top
- 94% viscose, 6% spandex, wider ribbed fabric. A softer and dressier fabric.
- Shorter in the torso – better fit for someone who is shorter waisted.
- The cut-in area is quite narrow. Better for someone who is narrower and petite in the shoulders and bust (Rachel)!
These tops look stunning if you get the right cut for your body type. And this is where it is critical to know your own body.
