It was our last official party of the season and I needed a mental boost, so I piled it all on for my favorite Christmas outfit ever!
This is about the time of year that we moms get pretty exhausted by it all, am I right? No slam on dads, but for families who celebrate Christmas, it’s mostly all done by moms. The planning, the shopping, making sure every person gets “just the right gifts”. All the menus…the snacks, the breakfasts, the dinners, etc. There’s so much work in just the food alone! I mean I don’t even need to go on because I just KNOW you guys get it.
This was our last holiday party of the season and all of a sudden I realized, oh gosh I haven’t worn that amazing sequin top that Rachel found and has been wearing the heck out of (read all about it here). It was decision time – wear it or return it. You can see what won out, ha!
And it was a super fun party! We drank wine. We ate fabulous food (it was catered by our incredible friend, Jeremiah and we just enjoyed the night.
Somehow in all of this I have messed up my back. Years ago I had a torn disc and now every so often I will end up in such pain for a few days where I can’t even stand up straight. We went to the Nutcracker yesterday and I barely made it.
And I still have a few stocking stuffers to buy! And I definitely have our Christmas day menu to shop for! I might actually have to give these jobs to my family…hmm that actually sounds pretty darn good! I’m ready to just chill and enjoy the last few days. I hope you guys are too!
Much love!
Tammy
PS: No, I’m not including any shopping links here. Honestly everything I’m wearing is mostly sold out. And this is the time to dig into your closet and just have fun, experiment, and most of all, be you!
