This post is really about my new favorite Winter jeans… but first…
My faux fur and sweater are both old pieces I will forever adore (coat is Frame, sweater is La Ligne). I wore this faux fur over a similar colored dress for my husband’s holiday party this past weekend. And this is my casual take on a monochrome-ish look. This is a trick I use often – matching my top to my coat. It’s so easy, but always feels chic. This works with any color – see a similar look with my camel coat here.
Now the jeans… My most-worn pair of jeans the past few months have hands down been my Moussy Odessa jeans. See them here, and here, and here… you get the idea. And I’m not quitting them anytime soon.
It is however getting a little too chilly at night for ripped knees, and I’ve been craving a straight, full length pair – sans rips! I saw these new Mother jeans and thought hmmm…these could be perfect. So, here we are. I’m between a 25-26 and went with a 26 – the right call. Slouchy and comfortable but still a good bum and not too loose in the waist.
They are crazy soft – 98% cotton, 2% elastane – the added elastane makes them soft to the touch and just stretchy enough. These jeans are so fresh and a breeze to style with booties and heels. BUT they are also great with lug boots – and I think I can make sneaks work too.
If you’re looking for a fresh pair of Winter jeans – try these!
1/2022 Update: I styled these jeans with snow boots, and it was better than expected! Also, Mother has added a few more new styles to their collection. Check out two additional new styles here.
