Why did I let my husband dress me?
Well, I was having a rare moment of “I have nothing appropriate to wear”, and I was ready to just stay home, and he was having none of it. So he pulled me into the closet and put together my outfit.
These were my dilemmas:
- It was a Chamber of Commerce event so it needed to be business-casual appropriate.
- It was outside at a brewery and HOT (like 95F hot) and muggy!
- I didn’t want anything cropped or low cut.
- I didn’t want to wear something I had already worn to these monthly events.
He actually went into my closet and pulled this top and these shorts…something I hadn’t even considered together.
Then he looked at the flecks of gold in my top and grabbed my gold bangle bracelet and my Marla Aaron star necklace and said “no earrings”!
And then he grabbed my nude Jeffrey Campbell shoes (easy to walk wedge heel) with my Clare V. honey pot bag.
Once I put it all on, he declared me “done and perfect” and that it all “matched my hair”.
Okay so how do you think he did? I think he did pretty darn great!
I’ve talked about this Ba&sh Olga top here and it really can be used year round (TTS and wearing S). I bought the Bec + Bridge shorts at a local boutique and they aren’t available online. Linking both Jeffrey Campbell shoes that I own – one a wedge and one a kitten heel. Some of my favorite shoes and they are super affordable.
And finally…the Clare V pot de miel bag is FINALLY bag in stock — if you have been wanting this bag, I wouldn’t hesitate. It often goes out of stock for months at a time. It’s a staple in our wardrobes. Rachel has had hers for three years and it’s still going strong!
