Summer date night with friends…most of the time I’ll be wearing my uniform of denim and a silk camisole. To mix it up, I say make it monochrome!
This camisole is the most gorgeous silky blue (comes in multiple colors) and pairs perfectly with my Mother Tripper in colorway ‘I Confess’.
First – the top in 100% silk which has a stunning sheen that makes it extra special for date night. It’s so good and on huge sale (it’s that time of year for all the amazing summer sales…invest in pieces you will have forever, we say)!
The color is Ocean, but looks different on various sites, which is frustratingly weird! In my opinion, the true color is most similar to this image, though it depends on your monitor too.

It’s on big sale at Neiman Marcus, but the color looks different on their site (more blue). I promise, they are all the same (Ocean).
Next – the jeans. In my opinion, if you only buy one light colored jean this season — these. They are the perfect straight crop with no distressing and in the very perfect color, I Confess. Rachel and I both own and are obsessed with them. You can dress them up or down and they are soft and comfortable! They sell out FAST, and currently only Neiman Marcus has them fully stocked in all sizes.
Plus my Jeffrey Campbell Mr. Big shoes…a no brainer. Perfectly sexy and wearable, and look good with everything!
Finally my Zadig black leather Rock Clutch. It’s classic with a little bit of edge and it’s amazing.
When you make it monochrome, you want to have at least a little bit of contrast, and the black bag, shoes, and sunglasses is the perfect punch to pull all of this together!
