One of my favorite things is a neutral monochromatic outfit. But I’ll show you how I keep it from becoming boring.
- Use different textures. Here I’ve worn a cashmere sweater, twill pants, a suede belt and shoes, a leather bag, gold accessories, and a wool jacket.
- Make sure the tones are in the same family but have also have differences. In this case, my wool coat ties everything together with that perfect buffalo check pattern (mine is old). A solid camel coat would also work perfectly!
- Coordinate jewelry with the tones of the outfit. As my tones are all warm, I went with gold sunglasses and necklace. For a cool monochromatic outfit, I would wear silver and white gold accessories.
